Minor girls abducted from Sargodha found in Islamabad
Islamabad's Kohsar police recovered two minor girls who were allegedly abducted from a Sargodha area, from the Safa Gold Mall, after a mall's female security guard helped them out with immediate space and protection. The police acted on the call of the security officer of Safa Gold Mall in sector F-7 that the two girls were in distress. The police immediately shifted them to Police Station with search for their parents continuing at the time of filing of this report. The girls, in their initial statement, said that their father had handed them over to Rasoolan Bibi in Kalowal, who left them at someone's house in Islamabad. 'They made us work and beat us, due to fear and terror we ran away from there and a security guard near Safa Gold helped us.'
Upon hearing the girls' statement, lady security officer Hina Bibi of Safa Gold Mall informed Kohsar Police Station about the development. She said she spotted the two girls in front of Cheezious Pizza on the morning of September 14 when she was coming for duty. According to the girls, someone had abducted them.
According to the girls, they were tied with ropes and tortured. The girls told the female security officer that they were beaten with wires and there were marks on their backs. The girls further said that instead of handing them over to the police, they should be handed over to their parents. The girls have been identified as Tania Bibi aged 9-10 years and Maria Bibi aged 8-9 years, the daughters of Allah Rakha, residents of Ahmed Nagar, Sargodha.
CRIMINALS GANG BUSTED
Furthermore, Kohsar police have arrested three criminal gangs. According to police, large-scale recovery of stolen goods was also made as they arrested eight members of three gangs involved in robbery, street crime, and theft. According to SP City, Suleman Zafar, Rs2.8 million in cash were also recovered from the possession of the accused. Gold jewellery worth Rs5 million was also recovered. Around 30 expensive mobile phones worth millions of rupees were also recovered from the accused. The accused confessed to crime incidents in Kohsar Police Station and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, an accused opened fire on a police raiding team in the Noon Police Station jurisdiction. The police team was taking arrested accused Zubair and Sajjad to apprehend their accomplices based on their identification. Accomplices of the accused, hidden along the way, suddenly opened direct fire on the police raiding team. Police officers remained safe due to bulletproof jackets and protective measures. Arrested accused Zubair and Sajjad were injured by the firing of their accomplices, the police said.
The accused were shifted to the hospital for medical aid. Zubair and Sajjad were on physical remand in a case registered at Noon Police Station. The arrested accused had shot and killed a bakery owner during a robbery on August 25 this year. The accused had previous records in multiple serious crime cases in Islamabad and Karachi. The search for other accomplices of the accused who attacked the police is continuing, the police said.
