All of his door handles, except the driver’s side, are broken. You can’t get out. I literally had to climb out through the driver’s side while he was pretending to fix the light and was on a call.”

Oluwatosin responded to the allegations in a video that surfaced online, refuting any intention of robbery. He explained that his vehicle experienced a mechanical failure during the trip.
“The incident happened on Sunday. They ordered a ride from Surulere to Mafoluku. The trip was supposed to end around 8:59 p.m. When we arrived at the pedestrian bridge at Onipanu, the car suddenly stopped. Everything on the dashboard went blank. I started panicking and told them something was wrong."
“They said I should park, and thank God I wasn’t on speed. I managed to pull over near a gate where a mallam was standing. I told them to stay in the car while I checked, but they said they wanted to get out. It’s true that some of the door handles were bad,” Oluwatosin stated in his defense.
Further elaborating on the situation, Oluwatosin explained in a separate voice note that local individuals ("area boys") approached him after the car broke down and demanded money. However, he denied any collaboration with them.
“I did not plan to rob anybody. When the car broke down, some area boys came around asking for money. The lady asked how much, and she offered to give them N5,000. They didn’t attack her or anyone. Within 20 minutes, I fixed the car, and I later took them home safely. She even made the transfer herself.”
The Lagos State Police Command has taken notice of the situation and has invited both Oluwatosin and @Big_Itahon to provide their accounts.
Police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, announced the invitation, stating, “The Lagos State Police Command is aware of the widely circulated post and is inviting the concerned parties to come forward. The parties may reach out to me via call or WhatsApp on 09055390070 for a direct link-up.”
